Surf Club Queenscliff - This project outline was to build a new surf club building for the Queenscliff surf club association. The major challenge in this project was to construct the roof from laminated hardwood beams, replicating an ocean wave. Hermann was responsible for all the timber work. Lovett Bay (Pittwater) - The Project involved the removal of the old building which was damaged in the 1994 bush fires. The new building was designed by Architect Stephen Wells and built in Partnership with Northern Beaches Builder. The building interestingly comprises of 5 different living quarters which are all interconnected by an 8 metre medieval sandstone tunnel. The 5 living quarters were constructed out of recycled timber and sandstone. Logistic issues were apart of this project which included transporting all materials by barge from the mainland to Lovett Bay.
